On the morning of September 30th, Nam Dinh Vu Port, part of Gemadept Corporation, joyfully welcomed the first vessel calling at berth number 7, officially bringing Phase 3 of the Nam Dinh Vu Port Cluster in Hai Phong into operation.
Nam Dinh Vu Port Clusteris the flagship northern hub within Gemadept’s integrated Port and Logistics ecosystem. The port enjoys a prime strategic location within the Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park—the most vital gateway for international and domestic commercial cargo in Northern Vietnam.
The commencement of Phase 3 operations will add approximately 650,000 TEUs to the port’s annual capacity, bringing the total to over 2 million TEUs per year. This expansion establishes Nam Dinh Vu as the largest and most modern port in the North, capable of accommodating large vessels up to 48,000 DWT. With a continuous 1.5 km berth, Nam Dinh Vu can simultaneously handle up to 7 feeder vessels.
