Overcoming challenges when the whole country is fighting against the Covid-19 pandemic, Gemadept Corporation (Gemadept) took on a series of concrete and practical actions to join hands with everyone to push back the pandemic. At the same time, the Company provides physical and spiritual motivation for the frontline hospitals in the fight to save patients from Covid-19. Continuing the donation to the Vaccine Fund, purchasing medical equipment for hospitals, awarding scholarships to children of doctors and nurses and more, on the morning of August 18, 2021, representatives of Gemadept donated the advanced Anesthesia machine and patient monitors to Thong Nhat Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City.
In the end of August and the beginning of September 2021, Gemadept continuously received good news from the Northern Port Clusters, it is a remarkable result from the Company’s huge efforts in term of preventing epidemics and ensuring the promotion of business activities.
On September 27, 2021, Engineering News Record (ENR) magazine announced the list of Global Best Projects Awards in 2021. In which, Gemalink Deep-sea Port is the unique port project representing Vietnam and is one of two projects in the world honored in the category of Civil Marine Works.
On October 15, 2021, VietnamNet – The Ministry of Information and Communications and Vietnam Report has announced the PROFIT500 Ranking – Top 500 most profitable Companies in Vietnam in 2021. Gemadept Corporation is once again honored to be in this year’s ranking.
On November 30, 2021, Nam Dinh Vu Port (NDV), a part of Gemadept’s Ports in Hai Phong, joyfully received and successfully operated the first ship of the service line ‘S5’ docked at the port. NDV – MV SATTHA BHUM of RCL Shipping Line with a hull length of 211m and a tonnage of 39,000 DWT. The new highly optimized service ‘S5’ is jointly operated by four major shipping lines, RCL (RWA1), PIL (SIX), IAL (CIH) and CUL (CIS).
To maximize loading and unloading efficiency, meeting the demand for increasing cargo volume through Cai Mep port area and to operate full-designated capacity of Gemalink’s phrase 1 (1.5 million TEUs) in 2022. Recently, Gemadept – Terminal Link Cai Mep Terminal Joint Stock Company (Gemalink) has signed a contract with the world’s leading crane manufacturer Konecranes (Sweden) to continue to equip 6 modern RTGs (Rubber-Tired Gantry).
On December 17, 2021, Vietnam Report officially announced the list of Top 10 prestigious Logistics companies in 2021. Accordingly, Gemadept Corporation is once again honored as the leading enterprise in the “Top 10 prestigious Logistics companies in 2021 – International freight forwarding, Warehousing, Third-party and fourth-party logistics services”.
