On the morning of October 27, 2024, at Sala Urban Area, Ho Chi Minh City, the annual race “Gemadept Run – The Way Forward” organized by Gemadept Corporation (Stock code: GMD – HoSE floor) officially took place, attracting thousands of athletes to participate.
As a pioneering and leading enterprise in the field of Port and Logistics operations in Vietnam, Gemadept not only makes positive contributions to promoting the flow of goods trade between Vietnam and the world, creating value for the development of the economy, but also pays special attention to the role and responsibility of the enterprise towards the community – through practical activities in culture, sports, charity, etc., contributing to building an increasingly civilized, modern, and compassionate country.
With the spirit of continuous effort of the Pioneering Steps for health, to break through and overcome difficulties and challenges; the annual race ‘Gemadept Run – The Way Forward 2024‘ aims to build a community strong in body and spirit and bring the best experiences to each participant, while spreading humanistic values to the community
The Gemadept Run 2024 attracted the participation of nearly 4,000 athletes of various ages, especially the enthusiastic response from leading domestic and international businesses operating in the fields of services and manufacturing, import and export, seaports, transportation & distribution of goods, finance, media organizations, etc., and freelance runners who love running with two distances suitable for the majority of participants, 5KM and 10KM.
The event not only puts Pioneering Steps in raising awareness of health training in the community but also spreads the meaningful message “Pioneering for the future generation“, supporting children in mountainous areas who still have many difficulties in learning conditions, so that they can access knowledge in a safe and healthy educational environment.
Gemadept Run 2024 aims to accompany educational development projects, aspiring to provide basic, safe, and quality learning conditions for underprivileged children
Gemadept Run 2024 continues to accompany the ‘Nuoi Em’ Ecosystem (Vietnam National Volunteer Center) and the Vietnam Children’s Fund, using all revenue from ticket sales and fundraising donations from internal athletes and guests to build three educational projects: Constructing a new school in a highland area – Khau Day School, Du Gia Kindergarten, Yen Minh District; Providing two new computer labs at schools severely affected and damaged by Typhoon Yagi: Khanh Yen Thuong Primary School, Van Ban, Lao Cai and Pho Rang Town Secondary School No. 2, Bao Yen District, Lao Cai – with a total budget of VND 700,000,000.
The Gemadept Run – The Way Forward 2024 has concluded, not just a simple sports race, but a journey to create better versions of ourselves, more sustainable values for the community and society.
