Gemadept Corporation honored in the ALPHA 30 Ranking
The ALPHA 30 Ranking – Vietnam Top 30 Strategic Holdings 2025 is compiled and announced by Vietnam Assessment Report JSC (VNR). The ALPHA30 ranking methodology is built upon a three-pillar analytical framework, including: investment and financial efficiency; governance and resilience; and influence and leadership capability—developed in consultation with domestic and international experts to ensure the objectivity and credibility of the ranking.
The list of the top 10 leading enterprises in the ALPHA30 2025 includes: FPT, PAN Group, Sovico, Viettel, Masan, The Gioi Di Dong, Vingroup, SSI, Saigon Newport Corporation, and Gemadept Corporation.
This is the first time the ranking has been announced. Its purpose is to honor outstanding strategic holdings that not only lead in scale but also play a role in shaping new growth models, driving improvements in governance quality, and creating sustainable value for the Vietnamese economy.

The ALPHA30 Award is a well-deserved recognition for Gemadept’s pioneering journey of creating and investing strategically in national seaport and logistics infrastructure.

Gemadept’s pioneering footprint in the North is clearly demonstrated through its large-scale, modern port and ICD system. Furthermore, it has become the first private enterprise to invest in a public project under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, upgrading the Ha Nam Canal Channel (Hai Phong) to accommodate large-tonnage vessels. This strategic investment plays a crucial role in balancing the channel depth between the Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh City port areas. By dredging and expanding this vital navigational channel, Gemadept has helped to change maritime practices that have existed for hundreds of years in the region, allowing large vessels to enter and exit the port easily and safely without dependence on tides, thereby facilitating the flow of goods for the entire region.
Leveraging this infrastructure, Gemadept’s Nam Dinh Vu Port Cluster in Hai Phong has risen to become the port with the largest capacity in the North, following the completion of its Phase 3 expansion at the end of September 2025. This is an important trade gateway, contributing to promoting economic development in the whole region.

In the South, Gemadept asserts its position with the Gemalink Deep-sea Port – Vietnam’s largest deep-sea port, capable of receiving the world’s largest container mega-vessels (up to 250,000 DWT). This port, combined with satellite ports such as Gemadept’s Binh Duong Port and Phuoc Long ICD, creates a closed-loop port service ecosystem. This ecosystem optimizes logistics benefits and costs for customers, thereby positioning Vietnam as a leading transshipment hub in the region.

In parallel with the Port Operations pillar, Gemadept’s Logistics pillar develops a comprehensive integrated service chain including distribution centers, multimodal transport, cold chain logistics, autom logistics, and more. In pursuit of sustainable development, Gemadept pioneers in applying “Green Logistics” solutions, optimizing operations and reducing emissions, in line with global trends and the Company’s sustainable development strategy (ESG).
