Gemadept employees continue to participate in training courses on greenhouse gases inventory and sustainable development report

Deeply aware of the role and responsibility of business towards the community, and following the Company's sustainable development orientation, Gemadept has been implementing activities and initiatives to minimize the impact of its production activities on the environment.

To improve capability and efficiency in environmental management and sustainable development, Gemadept employees continue to actively participate in training courses on Greenhouse Gas Inventory according to ISO 14064-1 standards: 2018 and Sustainable Development Report according to GRI 2021 standards conducted by the British Standards Institute (BSI Vietnam).

Greenhouse gas inventory according to ISO 14064-1:2018 standard

Methods for determining and reporting greenhouse gas emissions are two important tools that help businesses evaluate, measure, and minimize the impact of production and business activities on the environment. At the training course, BSI instructors shared the knowledge and practical experience about greenhouse gases as well as the current situation of global climate change, and provided guidance on methods to determine greenhouse gas emissions and to carry out greenhouse gas emissions reporting according to ISO 14064-1:2018 standards.

Participating in the training course, Gemadept employees were equipped with the basic knowledge of concepts, principles, methods, and procedures for determining greenhouse gas emissions and reporting greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with the standard.

Training on methods to determine and report greenhouse gas emissions for employees will help companies raise their employees' awareness and responsibility for environmental protection, identify and reduce sources of greenhouse gas emissions, comply with environmental regulations, and enhance the image and reputation of the business.

Sustainable Development Report according to GRI 2021 standards

Sustainable Development Report is an important tool to help businesses provide information on Economy, Society and Corporate Governance (ESG) activities to stakeholders.

Gemadept employees have gained essential foundational knowledge of sustainable development reporting, including GRI 2021 standards, and the process of preparing a sustainable development report according to GRI 2021.
