On June 4, 2024, the World Bank and S&P Global Market Intelligence published a report on the Container Port Performance Index 2023. Vietnam’s Cai Mep Port Cluster is in the top 10 most efficient container ports in the world for the first time, ranking 7th, the 5th highest in Asia, and only behind Tanjung Pelepas Port in Southeast Asia.

May 30, 2024 – Gemadept representatives attended a two-day training program (May 29-30, 2024) on “Green transformation, emission reduction and greenhouse gas inventory practices” organized by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Enterprise Development and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) organized through the Vietnam Private Sector Competitiveness Enhancement Project. The training program provided in-depth knowledge about greenhouse gas inventories, legal regulations related to green transformation and emission reduction, as well as challenges and opportunities that businesses may face.
