Nam Dinh Vu Port Cluster is a key port in the North in Gemadept’s Integrated Port and Logistics Ecosystem. The port is located in a prime geographical location in Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park – the most important international and domestic commercial cargo transportation hub in the North. Located right at the mouth of Bach Dang River with a draft depth of -9.5mCD and a wide turning basin, Nam Dinh Vu Port is the closest gateway to the sea compared to other ports in the region. The port is located on the same traffic axis connecting Gemadept’s port chain in Hai Phong.
The total area of the port cluster project is 65 hectares, the total design capacity of 3 phases is 2 million TEU and 3 million tons/year. Owning 7 wharfs stretching 1.5 km and the capacity to receive container ships up to 48,000DWT, including 1 specialized wharf for project cargo and oversized and overweight cargo. Nam Dinh Vu port cluster will be the largest and most comprehensive river port in Dinh Vu area, capable of receiving feeder ships and the largest intra-Asian ships in the river port area.
Nam Dinh Vu Port Cluster is one of the ports that meets the Green Port standards, possessing a synchronous and modern infrastructure system, among the best in Vietnam, actively contributing to promoting growth opportunities, making the North a strategic link connecting economic belts in the country’s Logistics activities.
In addition, with Gemadept being the pioneer assigned by the Government to implement the Ha Nam channel upgrade project. This national-scale project has contributed to clearing waterways, increasing ship capacity, reducing logistics time and costs, while maximizing the outstanding advantages of the port cluster in the region in general and Nam Dinh Vu Port in particular.
