On January 16, 2024, the Tam Duong District Youth Union, in collaboration with the Lai Chau Provincial Youth Union, the Vietnam Volunteer Resources Information Center, the Strength 2000 Project and Gemadept Corporation jointly organized the inauguration of the "Beautiful School for Children" project at the Rung Oi Kheo Thau village school in Ho Thau commune, Tam Duong district, Lai Chau province.
Ho Thau Kindergarten located in Tam Duong district, Lai Chau province, began construction on October 29, 2023, the result of more than 2 months of fundraising from the community event – Gemadept Run 2023.
Carrying the message 'PIONEER RUN – FOR THE FUTURE GENERATION,' Gemadept Run 2023 partners with the Nuoi em Ecosystem – School Construction Project to provide safe and secure learning environments and enhance educational quality for Dao children in Rung Oi Kheo Thau Village, Tam Duong District, Lai Chau Province.
At Ho Thau Kindergarten, there are 95 students and 8 teachers, who still have to climb mountains and wade streams every day to get to class, demonstrating dedication to education in conditions of inadequate facilities that do not ensure hygiene and safety.
As a leading company in Vietnam's port and logistics industry, Gemadept takes great responsibility in helping the community by investing in projects that bring positive change, especially those that benefit future generations and invest in the development of Vietnamese children. The school building project is an example, contributing to better learning conditions for children in the mountainous regions by providing well-equipped classrooms and a safe learning environment.
Attending the inauguration ceremony were representatives of the provincial and district unions, officials from Gemadept Corporation including the president of the Company's Labor Union, leaders from the Department of Education and Training of Tam Duong, district leaders of the Party Committee and commune authorities, and the teachers and students of Rung Oi Kheo Thau Kindergarten, Ho Thau commune, Tam Duong district.

Also on this meaningful trip, Gemadept representatives organized the Xuan Giap Thin charity program in Ho Thau Commune titled: SPRING GET-TOGETHER – TET OF GIVING LOVE.
Amid the joyful laughter, Gemadept representatives presented a bounty of gifts to help improve the quality of life at the school by donating water heaters, hot and cold water filters, warm blankets, and warm coats for children and adults. Furthermore, to improve the learning condition for the students, learning tools were also donated, such as notebooks, coloring books, pens, paints, etc.
In addition, for the students and teachers living in challenging circumstances, Gemadept employees donated extra cash and Tet gifts which are necessities in the program.
Continuing Gemadept's mission of providing a warm 2024 for the highland people, the Company's charity group directly visited and delivered gifts of warm clothing, rice, cooking utensils, and cash to households with particularly difficult circumstances in the commune.
The program continues its legacy of love, carried by the Gemadept community, sharing love and compassion in remote places of the country and improving the quality of education and life for people in difficult economic areas. This helps thread a brighter Spring for Vietnam, woven with hope and tangible improvements.
