With the aim for a sustainable, professional, highly effective Gemadept and bringing better life to each Gemadept member, Gemadept's Board of Directors decided to launch the Skills Training Program middle management in August 2018. This program is an important part of the plan to build a professional and happy working environment outlined by Gemadept at the 2018 Business and Production Conference.
Training and development is a strategic investment of all businesses towards the sustainable development of the organization. Recognizing the importance of training and developing human resources, each business has an interest in improving the professional knowledge and working skills of the leadership team to create an competitive advantage in the market.
Right after the Resolution of the Preliminary Conference for the first 6 months of 2018, implementing the direction of Gemadept Corporation's Board of Directors on improving management skills for staff. In August 2018, Gemadept opened a training course on “Improving middle-level management skills” for 30 officers, namely Chiefs, Vice-Departments and successors of the Corporation and Gemadept Shipping.
Accompanying Gemadept in this training course is Vietnam Business Administration Training Center (CTS). CTS Center is one of the pioneering centers providing quality human resource development and training programs for more than 200 enterprises, organized with more than 2,000 training courses during the past 14 years in Vietnam.
The training program is scheduled for 14 weeks from August 22 to November 16, 2018. In the framework of the program, students will be guided by highly specialized and practical instructors through 14 modules including: The roles and functions of the leader; How to be a highly effective leader; Change management; Skills for creative problem solving and decision making; Promote and manage employee performance, etc.
The training program "Improving middle management skills" was first deployed at Gemadept's headquarters and then expected to have other training sessions at some subsidiaries of the Corporation in the shortest time. Also aligning with the training strategy of the Corporation, the Training Board is also in the research and survey phase to be able to implement the Management Skills Improvement Program for CEOs in 2019 and some other training programs.
