On June 16, 2023, Gemadept welcomed lecturers and students of the Institute of International Education and Training – School of Transport (IEC) in Ho Chi Minh City to visit Gemalink Deep-sea Port. The visitors had the opportunity to experience practical activities of the Port. From there, they could to make connections between the field of study and real work.
IEC Institute is an affiliated unit of Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport, working in the field of international cooperation, joint training, scientific research cooperation, technology transfer. They develop and apply advanced international technologies to education and training, producing a team of intellectuals with a modern vision and working style, and meet the needs of social development in the period of integration and globalization.

The joint-training program between UTH and Korea Maritime and Ocean University encourage students gain more knowledge about the field of Ports and Logistics in Vietnam and around the world. Gemadept organized the field trip to visit Gemalink Deep-sea Port in Cai Mep port cluster. Gemalink Port is one of the leading deep-sea ports in Vietnam with a total area of up to 72ha and is also one of the top 19 commercial ports that can accommodate the largest vessel in the world with capacity over 200,000 DWT.

During the visit, representatives of Gemadept Corporation and Gemalink Deep-sea Port introduced the port's operation activities, updated the market and development prospects of the Company in particular as well as of Vietnam's seaport industry in general in the near future. The students were very impressed with the vivid descriptions from videos and sharings about practical examples associated with the knowledge they have learned at the school.
