On July 20, 2020, at the headquarters of Gemadept Corporation (Gemadept), the Launching Ceremony of Sales and Marketing Training Program 2020 took place in the joy and excitement of all participants. Attendees included representatives of the Company's Board of Directors, Training Board, leaders of departments and units and especially 27 young and dynamic Sales and Marketing candidates participating in this training course.
With the goal of building the Sales and Marketing team which is professional and imbued with culture, ethics and traditional values of Gemadept, the large-scale training program was thoroughly carried out from recruiting candidates, planning the training course and implementing.
After passing the qualifications, language, personality, IQ, EQ tests as well as directly interviewed with the recruiters, 27 excellent candidates were honorable presented at the meeting. In the launching ceremony, these candidates showed the ability, morality, personal bravery and especially the passion with Sales and Marketing. With an average age under 30, the team was young and enthusiastic, willing to enter the intensive training course and support managers to expand market, increase market share, and provide outstanding quality services to customers and partners of Gemadept.
5 MONTHS OF BEING COACHED WITH COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING PROGRAM
"Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the ax”, an immortal quote of Abraham Lincoln. This quote highlighted the important role of training, coaching and developing the personal abilities to achieve success. Therefore, to help the new Sales and Marketing team maximize their capabilities, work effectively and harmonize with the company culture, Gemadept deployed the Training program. It was built based on the experience from previous course and the expectations of MKT departments and Board of Directors. With 65% of internal training, combined with 35% from prestigious training organizations such as CTS, Brain Coach, PACE, the program was expected to last 5 months. Specific training modules were specialized knowledge; soft skills, culture; On-job Training and Coaching.
Specifically, candidates will be equipped with knowledge of Port and Logistics, Sales and Marketing, Customer services, PR-IR … soft skills related to project management skills, diplomacy, negotiation, presentation, and decision conflict, etc … Besides, ‘One team’ is also one of the key factors to success. Therefore, the Training Committee encouraged the candidates by the traditional values and 9 cultural principles of Gemadept. With the connection of 11 new employees and 16 Sales-Marketing staff from departments and units, Gemadept expected to achieve the good results.
In this program, candidates also visited the Port, Distribution Center, Air Cargo Terminal, etc.
According to the plan, the training program will be completed in November 2020. At the end of the program, candidates will present to the Training Committee about the knowledge that they have acquired. Subsequently, they can confidently work in their assigned positions. During the training process, the candidates are entitled to salaries and remuneration in accordance with the Gemadept's regulations. In addition, remote candidates are also sponsored vehicle expenses, accommodation …
With the enthusiastic and energetic, Sales and Marketing team will contribute to the development of Gemadept in the coming time. Especially the Gemalink deep-water port, the largest port of Vietnam will be put into operation in the beginning of 2021.
