Furthermore, by officially becoming a Gold Sponsor of the FIATA World Congress 2025, Gemadept further strengthens its position as a leading enterprise and its commitment to a sustainable development strategy in the logistics industry.

Vietnamese Logistics: Reaching Global Heights

FIATA World Congress 2025 (FWC 2025)—the world’s premier event for logistics, freight forwarding, and international transport—was hosted by the Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA) at the National Convention Center (NCC) in Hanoi from October 6 to 10.

Under the theme “Green & Resilient Logistics,” FWC 2025 featured a Plenary Session and seven specialized workshops, proving more dynamic and engaging than any previous congress. The event gathered over 50 leading speakers—top experts in logistics, supply chain, and digital transformation from prestigious global organizations and corporations. Together, they discussed modern logistics trends, green transition solutions, emission reduction, and the application of technology in supply chain optimization.

This marks the first time Vietnam has hosted an event of such scale and influence in the logistics sector, signaling a major milestone in the nation’s international integration journey.

The Congress provided a unique platform for Vietnamese enterprises to deepen connections with the international logistics community and learn from sustainable development models in advanced nations. In this context, the participation of Gemadept Corporation as a Gold Sponsor serves as a testament to the pioneering and proactive role of Vietnamese businesses. It further demonstrates Gemadept’s integration capabilities and its commitment to reshaping the position of Vietnamese logistics on the global map.

An Integrated Ecosystem Spanning North, Central, and South Vietnam

With over three decades of growth, Gemadept has emerged as one of the leading enterprises in Vietnam’s seaport and logistics industry. The Company operates a fully integrated logistics ecosystem that connects key economic hubs nationwide, providing comprehensive, modern services across the entire supply chain—from seaports and warehousing to transportation and distribution.

In the seaport sector, Gemadept ranks among the top three market leaders in Vietnam. Its system of six ports and Inland Container Depots (ICDs) boasts a total handling capacity of 4.1 million TEUs. The infrastructure includes 2.3 km of total berth length and approximately 170 hectares of yard and warehouse space.

Regarding bulk cargo, the company’s handling capacity reaches 2 million tons per year. The crown jewel of the system is the Gemalink Deep-sea Port—a joint venture between Gemadept and France’s CMA CGM Group. Gemalink has secured a spot among the world’s top 19 largest container ports, becoming a new symbol of Vietnam’s capability to accommodate mega-vessels and connect with global maritime trade.

Gemadept is also steadfast in pursuing a sustainable development strategy, focusing on three main pillars: digital transformation, green logistics, and smart infrastructure investment

In the logistics sector, Gemadept currently owns and operates 23 distribution centers located in key economic regions, with a total warehouse area of 450,000 m². This extensive network allows the company to handle a volume of approximately 10 million cubic meters of cargo annually, ensuring seamless circulation for both domestic and international supply chains.

The Company provides a wide range of specialized logistics services, including inland and waterway container transport, cold chain logistics, air cargo terminal, and automotive logistics. Notably, Gemadept’s automotive logistics center spans 5.5 hectares with a capacity for 2,200 vehicles and a 2024 throughput of 8,000 units. Meanwhile, its modern cold storage system, with a capacity of 50,000 pallet locations, effectively serves the food and pharmaceutical industries. Additionally, oversized and overweight (OOG) transport remains a standout strength, positioning Gemadept among the national leaders in this segment.

A significant highlight is the seamless connectivity between the port system and domestic logistics, which helps Gemadept’s customers save time and costs while improving operational efficiency. The “Port-Logistics” model pursued by Gemadept not only increases flexibility in cargo handling but also represents a strategic leap in building an integrated supply chain—from the seaport directly to the end consumer.

A Sustainable Vision from a Pioneering Enterprise

Parallel to its operational expansion, Gemadept steadfastly pursues a sustainable development strategy centered on three core pillars: digital transformation, green logistics, and smart infrastructure investment. The company continuously upgrades its information technology systems for management and operations, deploying modern warehouse management software, vehicle positioning systems, real-time operational governance, and process automation. These advancements enhance labor productivity, minimize errors, and optimize supply chain efficiency.

Regarding environmental stewardship, Gemadept is implementing green logistics solutions such as utilizing fuel-efficient transport, optimizing routes to reduce energy consumption, using recycled materials in warehousing, and building eco-friendly seaports. At Gemalink Port, the Gemadept has applied energy-saving operational models, utilizing natural light and international-standard wastewater treatment. These practical steps demonstrate Gemadept’s commitment to emission reduction and its active contribution to the green development roadmap of Vietnam’s logistics industry.

Notably, Gemadept’s expanding regional and global influence is bolstered by strategic joint ventures with international giants such as CJ Logistics (South Korea), CMA CGM (France), and K’Line (Japan). These partnerships not only enhance operational capacity but also expand the customer network, increase cargo throughput, and accelerate the internationalization of the Gemadept brand.

The “Host” Enterprise Representative

Serving as a Gold Sponsor for the FIATA World Congress 2025 is not only a recognition of Gemadept’s superior capability and reputation in the Port and Logistics sector but also a strategic opportunity to maximize brand equity, networking, and international cooperation.

With over 1,200 delegates from more than 150 countries, the event will convene leading enterprises in logistics, transport, and international trade, alongside representatives from multilateral organizations, professional associations, and regulatory bodies worldwide. Through participation in exhibitions, thematic panel discussions, and pre-scheduled B2B meetings, Gemadept can engage directly with potential partners, broaden its customer network, and promote the Company’s image as well as its comprehensive service ecosystem to the global stage.
