First half year of 2008, Cargo throughput of Vietnam seaport reach over 101 mil Tons

On 22nd July 2008, the Vietnam National Maritime Bureau held the preliminary summing-up conference for first half 2008 in Hanoi.
According to the statistics, the whole country received 46,865 vessels calling at our ports and operating at our teritorial waters with the growth ratio of 20% compared to the same period of 2007, especially at the two dynamic economic zones in the North and the South.
The port cargo throughput keeps on increasing reaching more than 101 million tons, 17.91% increased; the transport volume of national vessel fleet reached 32.77 million tons, increasing 52.5% compared to the same period of last year.
