Shipping agency services have been carried out by Gemadept since its foundation and became the reliable choice of Shipowners, Cargo owners, Ship charterers.

GMD provide shipping agency services and other related ones as crew change, spare part supply, food & water suppy, bunkering…for cruise ships, conventional ships, LDG, LNG ships, tankers…at all Vietnam ports.

By the end of 2007, Gemadept had established a joint venture with the world leading shipping agency group ISS (Inchcape Shipping Services) United Kingdom. ISS-Gemadept provides international standard agency services to giant customers as BP, Exxon Mobil and other ship's owner of cruise ships, navy ships ...

Liner agency

Gemadept had established joint venture companies with some leading MLOs as Hyundai, Sinokor, OOCL. These JVs provide liner agency and other services to global carriers to ensure smooth transport of cargo between Vietnam and other overseas destinations.

Beside, Gemadept itself is general agency in Viet Nam for MISC – Malaysian International Shipping Corporation.
